Task 1: Answer the following questions:
(a) What rights have allegedly been abused (according to this story)?
(b) What regional and international human rights documents protect these rights? Name the document and the article that applies.
Task 2: Complete the chart in the PDF below as follows:
(a) Fill in the action that has already been taken to challenge the result of the election by the human rights organisations.
(b) Fill in the action that the organisations can take (at regional and international levels) if they are not satisfied with responses from structures at a local level.
Follow the example given to you in the section on 'Using mechanisms at all levels to enforce and protect rights' when you are doing this.
